Durable call button for emergency alerting
The Algo 1203 Call Switch can be used as a panic or alert button in various environments. The recessed button reduces accidental pressing, ensuring events are only triggered when intended. The 1203 can be supervised by the IP device it is connected to, ensuring minimal downtime.
CONFIGURATION
A 1203 Call Switch can be connected to an Algo IP device such as a speaker, paging adapter, or visual alerter to trigger an event. When connected to an Algo IP endpoint, the 1203 can initiate one of the following events:
- Multicast an alert or announcement
- When connected to a speaker, make a SIP call to a configured extension and play an audio file on the answering device when answered
- When connected to a speaker, make a SIP call to a configured extension and open the line for handsfree one or two-way communication via speaker microphone
FORM FACTOR
The 1203 is built with stainless steel and a lit button for easy-to-find access. The button is recessed reducing the risk of accidental press.
The device fits a standard single gang box for easy installation. Once connected to an IP device, the 1203 can be supervised, ensuring any faults or issues with the device are known as soon as possible.
EXAMPLE USE CASE
The 1203 can be used by a receptionist if a threatening person enters a building to call security and open the line for the security officer to listen to the scenario in play.
When the button is pressed, a speaker in the lobby can be activated to trigger Silent Monitoring mode. This ensures a tone is not played over the speaker and the speaker light is not turned on. The microphone within the speaker will transfer audio to personnel on the other end of the line to listen in and determine how best to address the situation.
